    Thank you sir.

S.M.L.E.'s seem to be coming back onto the market through private sales from time to time. Too bad you didn't get one when people sold them at a reasonable price though. The other drawback with them (and many other milsurps) is that good ammo is a lot more expensive now and good surplus is pretty expensive too, IF you can find it.

    ;)

    Sweet!

One thing and please forgive me but take them outside in some defused natural light and use a tri pod and timer. You have a lot to be proud of there.

Thanks for the tip and the compliment M.J.

    Your point is well taken.

I took those just about 2 hours before sunset on the floor with the lamp on in the front room. Thought about taking them outside for the shots, but neighbors would vapor-lock if they looked over the fence and saw them. The tripod and timer are good ideas but not something we have or would make much use of at other times. Our camera is about the size of a pack of smokes, which is still better than the cell phone I previously used.

I use indirect kight a tripod and the timer. I have a covered porch and it helps glare. Like this photo of my '44 Lithgow set.

;) Oh ya my super cam.

$79 Fuji 2600z I bought in '02. I have a $150 Fuji now but the old one does better close ups and more something I don't now what to call. Feeling for color balance? It just takes a more real looking subject. I have no formal knowledge of picture taking. I would like to know how to really use photoshop.
