Russia's Full Metal Jacket

I recently ordered a DVD copy of this flick off amazon. I just got around to watching it last night, and was surprised at how great of a movie it is. It's Russian made but has English subtitles or English dub (I stongly recommend watching it in the orinal Russian, w/ subs) and is one of the best done war movies I''ve seen in years. I won't go into detail but to say it seems to be a accurate portrayal of the Russian involvement in A-Stan back in the 80's.

The attention to weapons, uniforms, period armor, etc detail is pretty unreal.

Mine is all in Russian with no subtitles... The flick looses it's edge when you can't understand WTF is going on.

That's odd, unless you have an actual Russian dvd copy? Mine is from a distributor called Well Go USA Entertainment, and has a menu area where you can choose English subtitles or dub.
