I checked IPs last night and nothing came up as a match. What'd I do wrong?![]()

C'thulhu '12! Why settle for the lesser evil?
People (like me) who log in from home or the office will show two (or more) IP addreses. But it's always the same name (and same posting style).
The problem is two different NAMES with the same IP address. That should never happen unless someone has illegal multiple accounts.
There IS a possibility that it could happen legitimately... for example my home IP address is dynamically assigned via DHCP. It could change.
So, if my IP address changed AND someone else in my area is a Gunsnet member AND has my same ISP (Roadrunner WNY) AND happens to get my old IP address, it could show up as me having two different accounts.
Plus, the email address and other personal info would be different, unless the person explicitly set out to impersonate me AND also knew my previous IP address.
The chances of ALL that happening are probably zero.
FWIW...
