as long as you use chinese bolt and trunion thats where the headspacing is. why would you do this?
Well, I want to have a left side charging handle, and I found someone making left side charging handles on Romanian bolt carriers. I looked at a Romanian bolt carrier, and the part that holds the bolt, where it rides in the rails, are cut a little different, that was what I was mainly concerned about.

I know this thread is old but wondering if you ever figured out your Chinese Romanian issue?
I've read that generally, the bolt carrier for the AK-47, AKM, and AK-74 are the same. I haven't verified this personally.
