Neighbors down the street think its funny to shoot in random directions on the weekends while drinking, neighbors up the road like to start shit intoxicated with firearms. Local minority kids have found that the park is a good place to fight and vandalize...people threatening to kill each others pets for whatever reason. Its just I could have dealt without that crap this morning. The guys daughter see's me as a big bro cause she knows I always looked out for her. He didn't need to stare me down and act like he was going for a weapon.
Having read your original post again I still can't see why you thought he was going for a weapon. For all you know he was going to offer you a smoke or give you back something you dropped.

Or reaching for a cell phone or maybe checking to see if he forgot his keys. There is a million possible explanations, and since you are still alive a weapon wasn't one of them.

In fact I made damn sure his daughter was not completely harassed by older boys when we were in our teens and 20's. He comes walking down my street and I say "hey hows it going" he then looks at me and reaches in his pocket like he is going for a weapon! I am unarmed and say "hey buddy you ok, hows it going?". I then yell at him "DON'T COME DOWN MY STREET IF YOUR GOING TO BE A FUCKING JERK!!". I was pissed that he seemed to be reaching for a weapon after a "Hey, how ya doing". I live in a neighborhood were we all get along and everyone knows every one. And that reaching in the pocket shit after the years I made sure his kids weren't bullied is BS. His daughter to this day even see's me she will run up and hug me like I am her big bro. I have no idea what this guy was up to. I saw something come out his pocket, but I could not tell whether it was a gun or a knife. He pulled something out, and then dropped it back and kept walking. I also watched him go up the main street were he was stopping and going into peoples yards and looking around...kinda odd for a guy 50+.

I guess I shouldn't have cussed so loud. Another neighbor came outside armed with a old CZ pistol. He thought SHTF! It just pisses me off that that guy would act like that, knowing me since I was a kid!
It's been a while since we had an epic Gunsnet meltdown. I'm predicting you're next.

I was just jumping on the train that I knew was taking off. Seriously though your perception of a given situation can extremely alter the outcome "in the space time continuum, Marty. Nothing wrong with being situationally aware as long as you're not out looking for something to get into. Relax and turn the news off for a while.

These days she is mid-20's and married. To be honest he got the better out of me by pushing my buttons. Next time I will just ignore him when he is walking around and acting strange.

Either you are 18 years old, or immature for whatever your age is.

Also, and I know some on here will crucify me for this, but how were you dressed? Like a thug? In all black and chains? Strangely? Is there a reason this guy immediatly got odd when you talked to him? This makes NO sense, and there is a huge chunk of this story missing. If you over react to something like THAT, sorry peace, but you should not be carrying weapons. None of us is Dirty Harry.

No offense, and I mean this seriously, you sound like either a guy with a HUGE chip on your shoulder or.....a very immature person. Someone looking for trouble. Someone needing to call attention to yourself. Most everything you have talked about on here is calling attention to yourself in awkward ways.

Did it occur to you he may have thought something was wrong with YOU, and was nervously looking for another naighbor to let him inside? If you were alone and unarmed, and some odd naighbor acted like you did to you, you too might get down the street and knock on a couple doors, or look for someone outside for help if you thought you might soon have trouble.
    "What sick, barbaric bastards.

It's one thing to use terrorism to make a political statement, but the wanton mutilation and suffering of innocents? How does that forward your political goals? When done in the name of religion, how does that earn you brownie points with God?

Fuck religious extremism. And especially fuck the "religion of peace." "

So, lagcsocialist supports terrorism AS LONG AS ITS FOR POLITICAL ENDS....

This guy has known me sense I was a little kid. His wife and daughter and son all know me. Its the first time I have actually seen him outside in a long time. I don't dress like a thug. I was wearing decent blue jeans, and a polo shirt. Most folks in this neighborhood greet one another. i have never messed with the man. For him to slow down give me an ugly look and stick his hand in his pocket like he was going for something was rather odd, especially sense he was standing in front of my property. I did notice from watching him he went up the street and seemed to be looking around other neighbors property. I am thinking maybe he was drunk or high on something. That was a bit of a party house years ago.

Your right! I agree 100% Krupski. I should have just ignored the guy, and not let something that stupid get under my skin and then post about it.
