Question A flock of Hawks. Redhawks that is

Just found these NIB Redhawks, .44mag, .41mag and .357mag. Pretty sure they only make the .44mag now. Gonna look them over on Saturday. I'd like the .41 but if I could get all three that would be kind of neat. Any thoughts on price, collectability, etc?

I had no idea they made a .357 on their Redhawk frame. I would have to have that one for sure.

I found a Gunbroker auction from this April where a used 5.5" .41mag sold for over $1,400!!! That's stupid money. If these truly are NIB I'd think they would sell for some where slightly more than a new one which is just over $700 at Buds Guns. They all could warrant a premium depending on age, perhaps more so the .357 and the .41 but not double retail of a new one.

I don't know a ton about reloading, but I do know that .357 can be loaded hot as shit if you're going to use in a Winchester 1892 or clone. I bet Ruger's large frame revolver can take hotter loads than the GP-100, so I'm wondering if the super-hot Win 92 loads would be safe in a Redhawk.

I don't know prices on these, so sorry I can't help you with that. With the high prices on these, it sounds like if you found a good deal you might want to snag them up before someone else does.

It's an auction so what they go for could be anyone's guess? They also have a S&W 627 Bloodworks revolver I would love to have and those can/were going for over $2000 even lightly used. Too many guns and not enough credit cards.

I would definitely buy the .41 and .357. Don't know anything about collectibility, but those are the ones I would want for myself as shooters.

I'm buying a .41 Blackhawk from a friend next month and I'm eager to get into .41. Looks like a great cartridge and a Redhawk in that caliber would be nice.

I really like the big Ruger revolvers. I just put a Weigand rail and rings, Bushnell scope, and Herrett grips on my .44 Redhawk. I had made some maple grips myself, but I don't trust the epoxy on the screw collets to hold under the recoil of Buffalo Bore .44 Magnum +P+.

If I had a dollar for every time CAPITALISM was blamed for problems caused by the GOVERNMENT, I'd be a fat filmmaker with a baseball cap.

I got the model from Bandai.

    Fun with a wheel gun...

    Any luck with the auction?

Bought the .41 Magnum Blackhawk from a friend last week. New grips came in today (buckeye burl).
