Staked Front Sight Repalcement

I have been toying with the notion of some better sights, or maybe just a better front sight, on my Springer Mil Spec. I want an XS big dot, but they only come in dove-tail flavor.

Any suggestions on a good fiber optic or tritium sight and alternatives to the Brownell tool for $46 that I will most likely only use once?

I assume the Springer takes the large tenon?

For a 1 time deal, have a 'smith do it.

But, consider having a dovetail machined because you have to destroy the tenon sights each time you remove them.
