Again thanks for your reviews man, good video.

I know this is off topic but what kind of adapter and buttstock do you have on your AK?

That is the worlds most expensive right hand side folder. It's offered by The Mako Group and it's $438. However, they have one with a polymer hinge that's very robust and durable (and lighter weight) that's $144. I should have both for review here shortly so I can show them side-by-side. But, I tell you what, that $438 stock is the ultimate in folding stocks for AK's. I'm a fan of the polymer Russian side folders (I have two) and this thing I like even more.

Whooooo that's hella expensive. I am looking forward to your side by side review. I hope the cheaper ones pretty sturdy cuz the others a bit outta my range for a stock lol.

Good review as always. $400 + for a side folder stock ... YIKES!

OUTSTANDING REVIEW!

And for a MAKO, that stock actually looks pretty good... Here's a link to the polymer hinged version.

Excellent review. I will most likely purchase this mount based on your review. This is exactly what I want on my VEPR. I've been dicking around with other solutions but this looks most promising.

Thanks.

Any idea what the progress is on the other optics options that RS will offer?

They have them listed on their website. They have one for the Aimpoint Micro coming up next I believe with one for the ACOG in the works.

An ACOG on an AK.... HA!

An ultra-accurate combat optic, on an semi-accurate combat rifle... Wonder how they'll work around the eye relief issues of a magnified optic?

Yeah, it really depends on the AK in question though. I have Saiga SGL31's that are quite accurate, more so than their SGL31 bigger brothers. Gabe over at Saurez Int. posted some targets shot at 500 yards with his Fuller AK using a TWS rail and ACOG and he was scoring some nice hits with that setup. The biggest problem with AK's is that the quality of the rifles varies considerably from builder to builder and then you have the pistol sights. If you can get a good quality hammer forged barrel (Russian) and a good optic on the rifle, the AK's seem to hold their own in the accuracy department.

The mounts RS Products is working on for the ACOG are dedicated to a particular optic, so they'll be able to set the eye relief accordingly. I'm curious how well this arrangement will work out too.
