sure, we got jobs right, besides they love America,,, right??

Will Obama let them VOTE in 2012 election?

President Barack Hussein Obama, in a determination letter to Congress, has announced that he will allow an additional 80,000 immigrants – – mostly from Islamic countries – – to resettle in the United States during fiscal year 2011.

Mr. Obama says that the increase in Muslim immigrants “is justified by humanitarian concerns or is otherwise in the national interest.”

The following “goals” for new immigrants has been set as follows:

Africa . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 15,000
East Asia . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 19,000
Europe and Central Asia . . . . . . . . . . 2,000
Latin America/Caribbean. . . . . . . . . . . 5,500
Near East/South Asia. . . . . . . . . . . 35,500
Unallocated Reserve . . . . . . . . . . . . 3,000

Refugee Resettlement Watch and other organizations have expressed grave concern that Mr. Obama is allowing so many immigrants into the country while so many Americans remain out of work and living in poverty.

According to the US Department of Labor, 14.8 million Americans remain unemployed. 6.1 million have been out of work for 27 weeks or over.

This figure has been challenged by the Union of the Unemployed who provide statistics that the actual number of unemployed Americans is 31 million.

The U. S. Census Bureau shows that the median household income for Americans has fallen to $49,777 – – a decline of 0.7% in the past year.

One in seven Americans no longer can feed themselves.

According to The Wall Street Journal, 14.3% of the American people live in abject poverty.

A refugee is defined by The US Department of Immigration and Naturalization as someone who has left one’s country due to persecution or a fear of persecution.

This accounts for the sharp rise of Somali communities throughout the country.

However, the definition of refugee is ‘fudged’ in several cases. “Refugees” who have not left their country due to persecution, according to Mr. Obama’s determination letter, can still be called “refugees” if they are from Iraq, one of the Islamic countries of the former Soviet Union, or Cuba.

According to Section 413 (a) of the Immigration and Nationalities Act, the Office of Refugee Resettlement is required to submit an annual report to Congress on the activities of the refugees.

The report is supposed to include the number who are on public welfare programs.

But no report has forthcoming from the Office of Refugee Resettlement since 2007.

I agree. I have no problem with legal immigration. With legal immigration the government can determine how many people we can handle with the current job market/infrastructure. Saying that, I am a little unsure how we can set targets for countries when we have so many people unemployed. I can see setting targets for certain skills or skill sets, but not for geographic locations.

Plenty of free handouts to the foreigners. More tax breaks and nepotism
of small businesses.
When US customs would not allow my daughter back to the states after a
2 yr teaching stint in France. They had to have a guarantee of employment
before she could return. She didn't give up her citizenship....wtf.

Obama is going after the muzzie contingent.
I think in the end, these are going to be his only advocates.

80,000 new "refugees" in these times where 1 in 7 Americans are on food stamps, 1 in 10 unemployed, housing looses, manufacturing down, 70%+ of last months new jobs being at Mcdonalds, all tell me the American experiment is in trouble. I agree legal immigration is fine when we are a prosperous nation and need more people to expand. But import more people to the welfare roles, when jobs are non-existant will just add to the problem.

My step son came here from Guyana 2 years ago legally after 2 years of paperwork and several thousand dollars. That being said, 80,000 "refugees" including mostly Muslims, who do not want to assimilate, or believe in Sharia law and wish to subject us to their ways is not in the best interest of America.

http://barenakedislam.wordpress.com/2010/07/15/somali-muslim-immigrants-turning-american-small-towns-into-islamic-welfare-enclaves/

for futher consideration:

L L. WILLIAMS, PH.D.

The Jamestown Sun reports that 400 Somalis have applied for public housing in the past four months. The Somali immigrants in Garden City, Kansas and nearby small towns have created the Somali Community Center of Southwest Kansas in order to tap into public welfare programs. Within this section of the heartland, white Christians have become the minority.

In East San Diego, the newly arrived Somalis have created a Little Mogadishu. The streets are lined with Somali stores, shops, and mosques. In the midst of this ethnic enclave stands the Iftin Charter School, where K-8 students are introduced to Arabic. 99% of the student population is Somali; Arabs constitute the remaining 1%.

The American Somalis now display the highest unemployment and poverty rates in the country. They also remain the least educated. According to Andrew Liepman, the deputy director of intelligence at the National Counterterrorism Center, Somali-Americans face “greater insularity compared to other, more integrated Muslim immigrant communities, [which] has aggravated the challenge of assimilation for their children.”

This problem is crystallized by the present situation is Lewiston, Maine, where African Muslims, many from the Bantu tribe, began arriving in 2001 at the rate of 100 a month.

Mohammed Maye, the president of the African Community and Refugee Center in Clarkston, Georgia posted a map of Lewiston on the wall of his office. “Go to Maine,” he advised the Somali immigrants. Abdullahi Abdullahi, the president of the Somali Community Development Organization in Clarkston, upheld this advice by telling his fellow countrymen that, unlike Georgia, Maine has terribly cold winters, but “the welfare system is better.”

Lewiston, indeed, was better. The small town in Maine with a population of 30,000 provided welfare to anyone in need, with the state picking up half the tab. Recipients, including the Muslim refugees, were allowed a generous five years of assistance before their benefits became terminated, and extensions for several additional years on the public dole were not difficult to obtain. Single parents could stay on welfare and go to college.

90+% of Black America will vote for Barry.
70+% of Jewish America will vote for Barry.
60+% of Hispanic America will vote for Barry.

Instead of barbarians at the gates, they're being escorted through and handed the keys to the castle.
As far as immigration IMO it should be directly linked to the unemployment rate. Once unemployment is above 3% no one gets in.

I don't have a problem with LEGAL immigration, but when there are highly educated scientist, engineers, and technical people in Europe who aren't allowed in while we give preferences for uneducated, illiterate people with no skills at all from the third world, I DO have a problem.

Immigration to the US should be on a basis of who's the most useful to America.
If you're a poorly educated no-skills Socialist bum white European and someone else is a highly educated and skilled black African, the African should get the pass in.

Well if we did that the Democrats would soon lose a lot more elections. They know exactly what they're doing.
