Finally got a chance to shoot the Silencerco Osprey .45 today. Just ran 22 rounds through it to see how it handles on my Sig 220. It is way quieter than my YHM Cobra (to be fair, it costs twice as much). It is light and the Sig points well with it attached. It doesn't soak up as much recoil as the YHM because it's considerably lighter (my Para Ordnance with the YHM attached almost feels like I'm shooting a toy). Used wire pulling gel in the Osprey, just at the beginning, didn't add any for the duration of shooting. Didn't notice much increase in noise for the 22 rounds even without adding more gel. Didn't shoot it completely dry, will try that next time.

Bottom line, one of the premium cans like the Osprey or the TiRant is definitely worth the money.

Edit: next time will do a side-by-side comparison to the Cobra, just wanted to try out a new toy today.

Hum, sounds quite nice / impressive. Can you do mpeg movies of the two in operation for sound level comparison?
