Thanks to everyone who replied to my first post on the MAK and a fair price.
Here are some photos of the MAK I bought and the Accessories that came with it.

I tried to find some information of the importer of my MAK 90 A.C.C. INT'L/INTRAC KNOXVILLE, TN and couldn't find any information on them. Does anyone know anything about them and how many MAK's they Imported?

http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/68rs327/Daisy124.jpg

The MAK also came with 3 boxes of Norinco Ammo and a bag full of loose Norinco shells out of the boxes. The Norinco Ammo looks to be all Copper Color Steel Casings? Never saw Norinco ammo this color? I have seen Black Norinco Shells, but never saw all Copper colored shells. The rifle also came with a dust cover with a scope mount, 2 ammo bags not sure what country they are from? A gun case and several Mags. Very happy with the purchase.

Nice rifle!!! It looks like you got three Chinese and three Euro 30 round mags. They all work, I personally like the Chinese as not having the spine makes them easier to remove quickly.

That stock is from a Romanian rifle, and designed for people with amazingly long fingers.

A.C.C. Intl/ Intrac were more known for importing Maadis from Egypt, but did import a number of MAK-90s. As to how many is anyone's guess as most importers back then were horrible record keepers.

Enjoy your new rifle!!!!

Thanks, I didn't know that 3 of the Mags were Chinese. It was also a plesent surprise when I pulled out the Norinco Ammo.
I would love to find a Chinese AK Stock and Pistol Grip for it now. I know I would have to make it 922 compliant if I added them, but this is something I am planning in the near future. I want to get it looking like a normal Chinese AK. Any good places out there who have Chinese Stocks?

68rs327, the Chinese mags normally do not have the spine along the aft part of the mag. They also have two parallel ribs along the lower part just above the floor plate.

After looking at the photo, the third mag from the right has the two ribs as all Chinese do, but it appears to have a spine on the aft part. Or is this just the way they are laying and a reflection???? There were very few Chinese mags imported with the spine.

Here are better photos of the Mags. I couldn't tell a difference in a Chinese Mag from a Euro Mag until you pointed out the differences. I know the Euro Mags are worth about $10. What are the Chinese Mags Worth? Is there a good website that shows photos of Mags that tell what countries they are from?
Thanks for the help.

There used to be a site that had a great set of photos of side by side comparisons but I can't find it at this moment. There is a fair listing on http://www.theakforum.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=7471

You might have to join to see it, but at least there are a few pictures left in the old thread.

Check the various websites that have "magazine" forums.

Your second photo of the Chinese mags shows the one on the right is indeed one of the more rare mags with a spine. The majority of mags imported from China were like the other two without the spine. Nice collector piece you lucked into!!!!

Any idea of what the China Mags are worth. I would like to add up the value of all the accesories I got with the MAK and figure up how much money I have in the gun.

Standard Chinese mags run the same as any other standard AK 30 round mag. I wish I could give you a value of the one with a spine, but I can honestly say I have not seen one for sale. You might check Gunbroker and see if anyone has one listed. Like anything else, something is only worth what someone is willing to pay, and unfortunately the Chinese mags don't command the value that some of the Russian mags do.

Thanks for the help on the Mags. I truly didn't know the difference in how they looked from different countries.
I am wanting to get the MAK looking more like a Original AK. I would love to find a Blonde Color Stock and Grip for it.
Any ideas on where to look? I don't want a laminated stock, I am looking for a solid stock. Even If I have to strip the stock and restain it to a blonde color would be fine.
Thanks again.

Norinco stocks and pistol grips are getting really hard to find due to import bans. All I can say is have patience and keep checking Gunbroker. You might post an ad in our classified wanted to buy and see if you get lucky.

Thanks for the help. I just found this site that shows pictures of several AK Mags. http://www.glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1104378
I have to say, It is really hard to tell the difference in them.

There are a lot of subtle differences, like welds on the spine, weld marks on the feed lips, shape of the ribs running up the sides, proof marks on the body and/or spine, weld marks on the metal that forms the front tab, finish of the mag, etc.

You have a lot better keen eye than me. I am new to the mag differences, hopefully with time I will be able to tell the difference. Right now for me, it is hard to tell the difference.
After reading about the Mags, There are a lot of guys out there who just collect AK Mags. Thought that was pretty neat. Would be kinda neat to have a AK Mag from all the different countries that made them.

Looking at going with a Bulgarian Polymer Stock on my Stamped MAK to use as my shooter. I need a little help understanding how the stocks are measured. This Stock Says 13 INCHES LENGTH OF PULL PERFECT FOR THE AVERAGE BUILD AMERICAN SHOOTER!!
When you measure a stock. Do you measure from the Back of the Butt Plate to the Back of the Receiver? If So this stock should work for me. My Dragunov Stock is only 9" from back of Butt Plate to Back of Receiver. If this stock is 4" Longer, it is what I am looking for. I think it is Warsaw Length, I thought they would be to short for me, but when I put a tape measure on it, it looks to be a good length? Am I correct on how they measure the stocks?

http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/68rs327/AKStockPolymer.jpg

Add Says: Perfect Length for Average American? Any of you guys have this type Tapco Stock and How do you like it?
Was getting ready to order one but wanted to hear some opinions on it before ordering.

There are chicom ridge back mags. I use to have a dozen of them that I paid $3 for each mag. They were surplus mags and came fully loaded with ..... cosmoline! Each one must of weighted 3 LBS.! On how to tell Chinese ridge back mags from Euro Ridge back mags. It comes down often to craftsmanship. The rear mag latching lug is a good place to look. Euro mags will have these milled, they will be very squared off, sharp edges and very uniform from mag to mag. The Chinese mags will have grinder marks on them, won't be totally symetrical and often have rounded edges or funky nonstandard angles to the surfaces. Their spot welds tend to be smaller and more of them.

On the copper washed cases, that is corrosive primed Chinese steel core ammo. I see you also have at least one box of noncorrosive Chinese steel core ammo. The earliest date for noncorrosive steel core that I personally experierienced is 1990.

I believe I made mention of their existence in both my threads. ;)
