What do you guys think of this? Sealed in plastic tubs w/ a shelf life of 10-30 years. A little over a $1/lb.

Looks like it would be a good add for the prepps. Mine are a mix of off-the-shelf stuff from the grocery store, dehydrated #10's and some #10's of red wheat berries.

Is that mail order only or can you find it at the stores?

IIRC, all of the COSTCO and SAMS bulk food is shipped directly from the manufacturer.

Interesting. It's more expensive than say WHITE rice in bulk w/o the oxygen free packaging...I dont know how well the brown rice will hold after opening, regularly stored BR has a shelf life of 2 years due to the hull basically rotting...but of course brown rice is easier on the pancriatic system and not s simple carbo.

You know prepping has gone mainstream when Costco sells it. :11doh:

You may be able to buy the Augason Farms Rolled Oats at Costco. I bought 2 pails myself and I bought some #10 cans of Augason Farms Freeze Dried Strawberries. It all depends on what they have in stock.

I've also bought on-line directly from Augason Farms. They seem to ship a little faster then some of the other places I've bought from.
