They are bubba'ed, but I like them, even if you cringe.

Top: 91/30 Hex w/ turned down bolt

Middle: 91/30 Hex cut to 21-3/4". Turned down bolt. 3-9x scope.

Bottom: 91/30 Junker round receiver cut to 16-1/2". Turned down bolt, red dot.
My truck gun and back yard critter shooter.

I admit, I did it before I knew better. To a Polish 1950's no less. Refinished the stock and did some cutting of the stock that sits under the bayonet to sporterize it. I'd like to go back in time and slap myself.

Haven't shot it past 50 yds so far. Dead on @ 50.
It'll go to the range soon.

It's a truck gun.
I wish I could come up with a folding stock for it.

Just cut it off behind where you grip, install a hinge on one side and a latch on the other:lool: Bubba!!!

Left hand or right hand door hinge?
Brass or pewter finish?
Interior or exterior?

Sooooo many options.

Left hand so it doesn't interfere with the bolt, outside cause of the radius of the stock, and after looking at the rifle, pewter might be the best match!

Oh, and don't forget the velcro to lock the stock in the folded position.

Self sticking or plain and use my exterior glue?

I'm thinking a pistol grip as well.

Maybe Printerman has some ideas.

Self sticking. On the hinge, doesn't matter what you get just flip it over and it'll work anyway you want it to. :D

Isn't that why the "K-files" forum was created?

I refinished the stock on the middle Mosin in the pic above.
The lighter brown just didn't do anything for me.
I mixed up my RIT dye concoction and I think it looks better.

Those are the most tasteful bubba jobs I've seen!

Except the missing front sight in the last one.

Thanks!
I knew something was missing.
The front sight is sitting on the bench. I'll put it back on tomorrow.

I suspect this was done in the 1930's-1950's (not by me), I bought it for $65 at a local show.

I thought it was on purpose to make it "tactical". I'm glad I mentioned it! :D

A nice job on the bolt.

The underside of the bolt is checkered as well, sort of kool if you ask me (in a bubba sort of way).
