AK Pistol

I am looking at the AK Pistols and am thinking I have to get one.
I have a few questions before I make a purchase.
Are the AK Pistols from Centerfire, J&G, Atlantic Firearms and the others the same gun?
Are they all made at the same factory in Romania?
Are all AK Pistols Imported by Century only?
J&G Says "These are imported Romanian built AK 47 pistols"
I saw a Video on Youtube that said the pistols are made 100% in Romania and are made on Military Specs. And Require NO USA Parts?
I guess what I'm asking is:
Is there only ONE AK Draco Pistol to choose from?
Or are some better than others?

It shows Some Draco's have a "Plastic Block" under the dust cover that keeps the bolt from coming all the way back and hitting the rear of the receiver? Also in the Video it shows the Gas Piston being Non-Chromed and Black.

It shows NO "Plastic Block" and it shows a nice Chrome Gas Piston?

Things like this is why I am asking are all the Draco's made the same

I believe all Dracos are the same from the factory.

The black block you see is a recoil buffer. These keep the carrier on guns with weaker recoil springs from slamming the rear trunnion. IMO, Black Jack Buffer make the best buffers. I use the green buffer in all my AKs.

As far as the finish on the pistons, all that I have seen are chrome plated from the factory and aftermarket pistons are stainless steel.. The black piston may be another dress-up factor. The chrome plated pistons are a must when using corrosive surplus ammo.

BTW, AK pistols DO NOT require US made parts to be compliant.

Here goes.
Q:1 Yes they are the same gun.
Q2: Yes they are all made in Romania.
Q3: Yes Century is the Importer as far as I know.
Q4 and 4.1: Yes there is only 1 to choose from, there are no "better" ones so to speak. Like SAR-1 rifles there may be better individual Draco weapons. I would adivse buying one only after a careful examination to check it for straight sights, gas blocks and rear sight bases. I would also look at the bolt carrier and gas piston to make sure the piston is straight.

There is a second Draco model. It is called the Draco-C, and it differs from the regular Draco in that its rear trunnion is actually an underfolder trunnion, and can be easily made to accept an underfolder stock after you pay the tax man.

Hell yeah.

I put an older FAC bulgy Thread adapter/FH on mine and the recoil is so tame it's unreal.

Definitely my #3 SBR this year once the thompson and grease gun are done.

The two Draco's in the video you posted are two different guns. One is a Draco Pistol and the other is a Mini Draco. The main difference is the barrel length and the Mini has a nylon buffer block (which is needed to make it work properly). The piston is so short on the Mini that it would be completely exposed on recoil so the block keeps the end of the piston well into the gas tube.
