I've been thinking about picking up one. I like the over all profile of the Spyderco Military, A large flat ground blade with a small belly.... I just have a hard time spending over $100 for a knife, most of mine tend to be between $50 and $75.

I've got two, one an orange model with S30v blade and the other a black with CPM M4 steel. Both are superb knives in both quality of material/manufacture as well as overall design. If you're wanting a 4" liner locker that will cut like nobodies business then this is the model for you!

Though they are on back order at the moment you'd be hard pressed to get a better deal that this one from Jeff at The Cutlery Shoppe.

I may have found an alternative.

Not a bad choice. I've had that one (green scales) for a while and really like it.

It's a great knife with an excellent steel and slices like crazy. That being said it's not a Military. I'll have to see if I can find the hard use rating for each but IIRC the Military is rated higher than the Endura 4. Still a great choice but don't give up on the Military. Carefully shopping may turn up one at a better than average price.

After reading this thread I dug out both of my Military models on Sunday and was planning on carrying one or both this week but sadly I also pulled my D2 Paramilitary and Carbon Fiber Parmiltary with S90v. Yesterday was the D2's turn. Today it's the CF. Love these knives. Maybe tomorrow I'll carry the M4/titanium Military and take some pics.

Do me a favor and don't talk about the Carbon Fiber Parmiltary with S90v... It might have negative effects on my wallet. :D

Don't worry. It was a sprint run, don't remember how many were made but the secondary market is the only place you can get one.

Same with my Manix 2 in CTS-XHP and the M4/Titanium Military. Every so often I luck out with the sprint runs. Most of the times I don't though. A day late and a dollar short.
