AK Sights Upgrade

Many will probably disagree, but I think the standard sights on the AK leave a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, so do many of the after-marked sights available – not that many of them aren't improvements in their own way. What I'd like to see is a high quality front and rear night sight combo that allows both quick and precise target acquisition. Meprolight makes a tritium set that looks pretty good but I can't find a decent user review on them. I would need them to be graduated to 800 meters, not 1000 m for my rifle.

Anyone ever try the Meprolights?

Thanks. That system almost doubles the sight radius! No wonder it works so well. I'll definitely keep it in mind. It kind of fouls up the look of the AK but hey, if you ever HAVE to engage a target at long range...
