That's a beauty. I like the look of the rail systems, but always go back to the smaller handguards because they just feel right to me.

Is this going to be for a dedicated purpose or just for fun?

O.S.O.K.

Sweet - whatcha gonna hang on all those rails? Or is it for versatility? ie to allow you to put different things on for different situations...

All of my AR's have standardish handguards.

GP trunk gun. I'm making a platform switch to ARs. This rifle will be replacing my SLR-107FR as my "Go to" in my vehicle.

Right now I'm going to mount a Gear Sector hand stop, GS Offset light mount (with light), and Troy sling swivel. Eventually, I'm going to switch the light over to a Surefire M300.

Thanks, I researched long and hard before making my choice.

Next AR build will be a 10.5 or 12.5 SBR with an Aimpoint T-1 to replace one of my Draco's as a bed rifle. Then I'll probably pick up a KAC SR-15 and throw a Short Dot on it, then one more 16" and go with with a TA33. Throw my Kalashnikovs into reserve.

I really, really, want to go with a Suppressed SBR in .300 Blackout and then a .308 AR like an LMT, OBR, or SR-25

Nice! I've got a Bcm middy upper on the way as well. It's used, and will most likely end up with a quad rail like yours.

Did you have to wait long for yours? Seemed like most of their complete uppers were backordered last time I looked at their site.

Sal, and I just ordered one that was in stock. They had it at my house 3 days later. You have to stalk their page and move when you see it.

BCM 16" Middy upper
LRB Arms Lower
DD MPi FA BCG
DD LPK
Magpul ACS stock
Magpul ASAP sling
Millet DMS-1 in a SALT mount
Magpul MIAD Grip
Magpul Aluminum enhanced trigger guard

Waiting on:
Troy BUIS
BFG VCAS sling
Troy rail mounted sling mount
GS Handstop
GS offset light mount
Life size Chris Costa cardboard cutout

I will probably go for a Leup 1.5 MR/T Scope in a Larue Mount. Going to use the DMS-1 to help me decide if I want a 1x4 or an ACOG

Lol, nice!

Looks good! I thought you were trashing the millet 1-4 in that thread a while back?? ;) let us know how it does.

Not trashing, it's just not my first choice. I have one laying around unused so I've thrown it on there for now. Odds are after this I'll put it on a 5.45 AR and use it as a training analog. For what it is, the Millet is good. There are better options out there for not a whole lot more scratch.

I would not say that it is a "trust my life" optic.

I see :)

Which troy front buis are you looking at? Got any rail covers?

HK style, non-trit, diopter rear.

Rail covers I haven't decided on which yet, going to mess around with some.

Back to the Millet; My primary complaints are this: 1) Super sensitive to eye relief (for me, at least). This makes it rather obnoxious for adjusting the LOP on the rifle. 2) Poor light gathering in twilight. It is really atrociously bad.

Are you going to be able to shoot it soon? I am very interested in how that setup performs.

Probably in the next two weeks. I need the irons to come in.
