Mike Snody makes a pretty sweet slinghot. It'll put an arrow into a refridgerator.

I guess if you can't own a gun... otherwise a .22LR is head and shoulders over such - even a handgun.

long before they came on the market. When I lived in the UP of MI, I just went to the nearest railroad track and picked up some iron ore pellets. Just right for a sling shot. In the old days I would make a pouch that would hold about a dozen bbs that I used on birds. That was a long time ago....chris3

I dont have any sling shots, but I know how to make them, and know how to make a traditional sling too. I prefer a homemade bow and arrows. I dont have to spend any money on any of it.

I have a wrist rocket. I fire lead balls with it though... I've got a big bucket full of 3/8 diameter lead balls (approximately the same diameter as 9mm). I wouldn't want to get hit with it.

I bought one and couldn't hit shit with it. I'd never be able to hit a squirrel with one.

I have 4 of them but only 3 in working condition, If I need a 4th one I'm just going to use a gun and to hell with the noise. I use old 38 and 9MM slugs dug out of the berm. Not classy but the price is right.

There was a dude on youtube that rigged a key chain ring up to his and could launch arrows from the wrist rocket. I thought that was pretty cool.

I have a big one which is for launching tennis balls for the dog to chase. It also does a really nice job of launching those walnuts that fall from my walnut tree in the back yard.

What's worse is trying to use a slingshot to launch lit M-80's into the air... especially when the latex tubing is dry-rotted.

Several years ago (in Canada no less!) I was launching M80's into the lake with a slingshot. One rubber broke and the lit M80 went.... somewhere..... EEEEEEEKKKKK!! I didn't know where it went so I just covered my ears, looked frantically around and said "ohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshit!" 100 times.... then it went BANG about 6 inches from my foot and embedded little bits of dirt into my ankle that I had to pick out with a pin.

I stopped doing that afterwards.
