Can't find much on the internet about them anymore. I will be in Houston in September so I could stop by the location where they used to be... they might be able to help me with that muzzle brake issue.

I bought 12 receivers and several parts from them. I went there to get some receivers once - just a strip mall type location IIRC. Nice folks though.

I think they changed their name and are still doing something... but I don't remember.

Ah - here they are: http://www.ak-47.us/AK-47Receivers-005.php

It was located in a Business Park off Old Galveston Road, a neighborhood I still have roots in. I will be there on leave in September. I will stop by and report back to Gunsnet what I find out. The Vendor's name was Jimmy ... maybe Streetman.. I think.

FYI, I just called the number for Global Trades I found on internet. Lady answered "High Standard". She told me Global was out of business, High Standard got the phone number and the business location in NW Houston off 290, on Mitchel Dale Road. She said that their business does build AK's and repair them. I am going to go by there. I think they have some connection to Mitchell Arms also but I am not sure.

Too bad. They made some nice guns back in the day.

I believe Global Trades sold their assests to Elk River Tool and Die (http://elkrivertoolanddie.com/default.aspx) a couple of years ago.

I remember they sold off the receiver tooling (ArmoryUSA) to W.A. Co. and kept the Global Trades parts business. I remember looking at their page last year and they had some egyptian AK parts I needed. I guess they finally went under...
