Nice MAK-90!!!! I didn't think I would like green on an AK variant until I saw my first one. NICE!!!!!

Also nice is you have one that still has the cleaning rod holder on the front sight, as well as a complete 56S stock set!

ENJOY!!!!

and the markings on this one are different from most pictures of MAK-90s I can find on the net.

There is no factory marking on the front trunnion like most I see. No additional numbers in front of the serial number denoting import year.
It is stamped B-West and reading on the internet, some of those had softer receivers, but those were stamped Made in the USA from what I gather where this one is stamped Made in China. Also does anyone have any idea what might have been stamped where it has been lined out?
The barrel is threaded and doesn't look to have been messed with in any way so possibly a very early import?
Lots of things to research and learn! LOL

Here is what I received in the trade minus a few of the tracers that he wanted to keep.

1. Norinco MAK-90 with:
a. KVAR OD green stocks, 1.25" longer butt (US made)
b. US made fire control group
c. US made phantom flash hider
d. Sling
e. No-name flashlight with rail
f. Cleaning kit in butt and cleaning rod under barrel
2. Wood stocks.
3. Norinco (pre-ban) 75-rd drum (not the ones common in the surplus rags).
4. 3 x metal surplus 30-rd magazines.
5. 6 x plastic unused 30-rd Bulgarian magazines.
6. 20 rds (pre-ban) East German steel core ammo.
7. 6 rds green tracer.
8. 5 rds daylight tracer.
9. 15 rds red tracer.
10. Extra US made slant muzzle brake.

Now I have to learn a whole new manual of arms. :)

You could try an inkblot to find out what it says.

Kind of like an old printing press in reverse, wipe on something colored and not too watery(or permanent) and gently press a piece of paper to get the letters "fingerprint" and you might be able to trace out the old letters using the gaps their stamps left behind.
