I'm building a batch of polish AKM's with 6 position collapsing stock... among other things.. of course, I'm doing it right, corrected stock angle and such... but I was thinking about selling them with my CGM attached.... do you guys think that it would benefit the tactical approach? here is a pic of the CGM it is an offsetting device for the vertical fore-grip... makes for a very pleasent forward grip....

For a 7.62, yes if you're including a VFG. The amount of room needed to insert the mag makes a VFG tricky or impossible to use if it's too long so it needs to be offset. Not so much so for a 5.45 or 5.56.

That's da truf, truf! I swapped out the original lower handguard on my romanian g for this reason. I would rather be able to insert a magazine easily than have a vert grip to hold.

I'm new to the AK world, Very AR driven in the past but now am getting into the AK market. I still like my AKs all synthetic or even better all rails. My first lady is a krebs AK, I found that a nice little Verti Grip helps alot and actually helps in my speed reloading. I slam the front of the bottom plate onto the grip and it's perfectly inline with the mag catch. Granted I'm still working on being as fast as my ARs, but getting there. Here are a few pics of the shorty verti grip I got for like 15$ at a show. Would I use if I were inlisted, maybe not, but for a weekly shooter I beat up YES! http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff420/CWalkerPhotography/AK3.jpg

I think an offset grip would be very weird in my hands, ofset scopes maybe, grip never in my book. You could always move it a few inches forward.

its nothing like you are imagining at all.... I swear it makes things nice.... well, I'm not trying to convince you... it's really nice.. it doesnt lean or cause any weirdness, I've put alot into this thing to make sure that no ill effects occur.

Its is actually in use at the moment overseas. At any rate... When I get the first run in (early october) i'll make a good offer to those that maybe are doubters... It is an inexpensive unit so it's not like a huge loss if you dont like it, but... I love it, though I am biased...

irierider, I will try my best to remember this post- and you- lol. If you like, I will send you one for free, so you can try it. If you like it, you have to promise to say nice things on here about it. If you don't then, you can send it back... or give it away to someone else.

peep it out for yourself... It is not drastic... It isn't a game changer at all, but I will say it makes things very pleasent for long-term use.... just my opinion...
