Enough to make you sick. First it gets Bushified, then if that wasn't enough banned by clinton, then if that wasn't enough someone took a torch to a perfectly legal firearm.

Wonder what the true story is, but regardless, about the only part on it that are hard to come by are the barrel and both trunions. Other than that I can't figure why it sold for so much.

Although if you figure how much complete ones are going for, rebuilding that poor thing on a current ATF approved receiver still keeps the price within reason, so other than not having a gas block, it really isn't too bad considering...

I wanted to bid on it to get some parts for my 84S project but the more I looked at it the sicker I got. It just screamed "Post Ban" abomination every time I got ready to hit the Bid button. Something tells me these Chinese parts are gonna be hard to find.

Where can I get a trunnion for an underfolder. (rob it off of another underfolder?)

WTF would someone do something like that to a perfectly legal firearm?

Someone on another forum posted this in the for sale forum. When they got no bites they listed it on gunborker. The story goes that a wealthy individual brought it into his shop to be demilled. He did not want it anymore, and did not want the risk of it being bought by an individual and used in some crime sometime down the line and have the serial number come back to him. His thoughts were for the price it wasn't worth the risk. Sick and stuipid I know, but to each there own.

Yep very sad. All he would of needed to do whas have a valid bill of sale from a gun shop or individual proving he sold it off.

If the story is true, and I do believe that people are that stupid, I wonder if he junks his cars instead of trading them in or selling them because they could be involved in a fatal wreck???

Same mentality as the Eurotrash that destroyed all those beautiful STG-58's and G-1's.
