Good price...I paid $480 otd...only get it if you want hours of fun and people eyeballing it at the range...;)

That is the 15 rd mag...good for bench shooting...you can get 25 rd mags from Blackdog...they are the ones who make them for Sig.

Also the gray CMMG mags work in it...they look like AR mags...

They'll enjoy it for sure...the rails on the handguards don't come with it...you gotta order them on the Sig website.

They have since come out with one that has green furnature and a "SWAT" version...I prefer the regular version like my black one and the green.

O.S.O.K.

I like that. If anybody thinks that $480 is a lot, consider that I've got $450 in my 10-22 with the "Blaster" stock on it (and Timney trigger) - not counting the scope.

I like it so much I'm going to put a big ass scope on it!

Nice scope,what is it?

I'd like to get a rugged looking scope for mine with quick detach....go back and forth from red dot to scope.

Going shooting tommorrow morning with a co-worker who has one. I hear nothing but good things about it Im going to check it out my self to see what all this fuss is about. Its about the same cost as a dedicated .22 AR upper, and looks like a 556 so it has that cool factor going for it too. I am going to try the cross compatability of black dog and CMMG mags. I have CMMG my buddy BDM so we can swap each other.

I bought it because I thouhgt it was cool but about the 2nd or 3rd time I took it out I talked my daughter (10 y.o.) to go with me and now she thinks its hers! This was the first time she had shot a semi-auto ... she had out grown her Cricket. Although the clincher may have been shooting the McDonalds toys we've collected over the last couple months :p

I gave $500 OTD with the scope I really need to get some of those 15 round mags too.

I am glad that I did some research before I forked over $650.00 for an AR upper. Screw the AR upper! I am going to look at this instead.

.22's often are finicky on the ammo they like. What brand and bullet type is he using?

im not sure i know he ran at least 3 different brands thru it somtimes it would shoot 15 before it jammed then other times it was every shot

Tanners are blowing out a bunch of 522 pistols on Gunbroker for $299
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=245436029

I kicked it around for about a week and finally "pulled the trigger" today and in a couple months it will look kinda like this but with a 556 classic stock ...

How hard is it to change out the barrel? Do they sell them separately?

As far as I know all to have to do is take off the hand guards and take off a threaded coller that holds the barrel to the receiver with a wrench that comes with it.
Not sure but think you can get the barrel separate.Best to call Sig since they do not show all the parts on there web site.
