I hope not.The Clash of the Titans remake sucked,the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street sucked.This turd of a remake is destined to tank as well.

MGM is in Bankruptsy. Just about everything, including the newest Bond and Harry Potter movies have been either scrapped or delayed.

Red Dawn was near completion, so I think they finished it (but I'm guessing with lower budgets) and is probably going to be released in November.

I'm guessing it will suck since they ran out of money...

The film has drawn sharp criticism from the Global Times, one of the leading Chinese state-run newspapers two days in a row. The headlines read "U.S. reshoots Cold War movie to demonize China" and "American movie plants hostile seeds against China". Articles went on to say that the film has roots in a deep American fear of Chinese power. “China can still feel U.S. distrust and fear, especially among its people. Americans’ suspicions about China are the best ground for the hawks to disseminate fear and doubt, which is the biggest concern with the movie, Red Dawn”.

The Chinese think this movie will plant anti-communist seeds in the American people.
Maybe China will release their version of Red Dawn to put our hearts and minds at ease.

I think they finished filming the movie but MGM doesn't have the money to release it, make a trailer, or a soundtrack.

IMDB had it scheduled to be released in December, IIRC, but its no longer showing up on their "Coming Soon..." lists.

I do wonder how much China might be pressuring the movie studio behind the scenes, threatening to boycott their films if they release it, due to the "fear-mongering" involved. Could be one factor interfering with its release.
