How much should be the protrusion of AK47 firing pin?
I have a Norinco 56S and it is having problems with pierced primers.
Dent in the primer looks deep. Primers are RWS Berdan.

Once you get pierces, you'll typically get a lot of them, as the gasses cut the tip. Take a strong magnifying glass and look at the tip.

Long ago, I shot a lot of RWS Berdan primers in 7.62x39 Valmet rifles, and never pierced a one.

for the most part, protrusion should generally be around .060" max. not sure what the ak specs are.

the shape of teh pin, also, can have more to do with pierced primers than the protrusion.

either way, an ak firing pin is simple to replace.
