If they come with the sights for that price, that's a damn good price!

now the big question, my savage will do 1/2" groups at 50 yards, would I see any improvement or will I simply be able to brag I have a russian target rifle?

Depends and yes.

With the right ammo and driver, they are borderline BR rifles. I halfway regret selling the one I had. I wasn't willing to d&t it at the time and didn't want to take the time to learn how to set the peeps up for under 50m.

It was a solid shooter but something else came along that I thought was cooler so I sold it. Whatever I bought with the money must not have impressed me since I can't remember what it was.

Now that I'm more willing to tinker with the sights as well as drilling and tapping it, I don't have the funds for one.:dammit:

1/2" at 50 yards is only 1 moa. With the right ammo you should be able to do better then that.
