“Hornady® Zombie Max™ ammunition is for use on ZOMBIES ONLY, and that’s not a nickname, phrase or cute way of referring to anybody, place or thing. When we say Zombies, we mean…ZOMBIES!”

I may pick up a couple boxes just to say I've got some.

Don't know if the brass does, but the shottie shell has it printed on the plastic.
You need some 12 ga. for your 870. You never know when the Zombies will show up in Atlanta.

Man, Hornady really has they're finger on the pulse of their customers. They are obviously intimately involved in shooting, hunting, and of course, the board "culture".

I merged the two threads on the same subject just in case you're wondering why it doesn't "flow".... ;)

I found this on another board: guns and ammo interview with Steve Hornady about this new ammo line :D http://www.gunsandammo.com/2011/10/14/hornady-zombie-max-ammo/

Pretty funny.

Good to see a company having fun with the whole zombie theme! At least with Hornady's products it can be multi-use :). I'll prob get a box or two myself to T&E and collect. Think it's a different colored tip of an A-max or V-max?

But on a side note, am I the only one getting annoyed with pistol rounds only being offered in boxes of 20 or 25 rounds? Annoys me to no end with most of today's "self-defense" ammo. Oh well, the stuff I normally use can be found in 50 round boxes still.

Drives me apeshit. One short for three 1911 mags or three orphans if it's a Glock 17. Maybe it works out for California capacity mags. Makes no sense for the shooter in the real world, makes lots of sense for the manufacturer. Make some poor bastard pay five times for what he used to pay two times.

Yeah, the 20 or 25 rd pistol ammo boxes annoy the hell out of me too. I think it's to keep the sticker shock down. You now, a lot of folks wouldn't pay $40 or $50 for a box of 50 rds of HP, but they would pay $20 to $25 for a 20 or 25 rd box. You can still find 50 rd boxes of HP, especially if they are marketed to law enforcement.
