I just ordered a Saiga .223 from Classic Arms and intend to convert it....at least the back half. Once I get the bullet guide, which mags work without modification? Circle 10's, Weigers? Galil Orlites, Galil steels? I really don't care to spend $40/each for Saiga mags.

Circle 10's and Wiegers can both be used with a bullet guide, at least they did in my S-223. Orlites were once cheap at $10 each now I'm not sure. Then there is the $40 Surefire mags...

I would think Bulgarian or Weiger mags also. I'm wondering if the 35 round Galil mags could be adapted to work.

My last S-223 used the Galil mags with a slight mod on the orlites the steel worked without mods. The conversion was done to the trunnion.
