In the latest edition of The American Rifleman it has a test and evaluation on a new Taurus 5 shot revolver in .40 S&W. Didn't sound like the trigger was all that great but as the owner of a S&W 610 in 10mm the idea of a dedicated, snub nose wheel gun in this caliber has some appeal even if it is a Taurus. What do you all think?

I've had good luck with Taurus wheelguns, the 40 doesn't interest me much. I suppose this is a 5 shot 40 in the frame of a 6 shot 357mag?

I also have a Taurus Revolver and I like it very much.
I did read the article you mention and the Taurus still uses moon-clips.
Charter Arms has a 40S&W snubnose that doesn't need them.

I like the idea of not needing little pieces of metal better than needing them and not having them.

I much prefer 7 rounds of .357mag in my Taurus.

I have a Smith 696 44 Special. No need for a 40 short and week wheel gun.

Now, if I already had a 40 S&W autoloader or two, I might like to have a wheel gun in that caliber too. But then again, I don't have one in 9mm... or even 45 ACP... which I think makes the most sense of all of the auto calibers.
