One of the people on that link said it was Schmeisser manufactured in Germany. I just ran a search for Schmeisser and all I can find are historical references to the MP40 or old pistols.

I've seen the claim on the web site but unless Schmeisser-Germany is presently supplying M16's to the US military I cannot believe the Mil Spec claim.

Americans have been making AK's for years... it only makes sence for the door to swong both ways. Both are AWESOME rifles, so I'm happy they have both now too.
