Oh and looking further on their web site I see they have come back to earth on primer prices ... well at least for Wolf Brand primers anyway. $18 /1000 again, pre Obama prices once more! BTW if you are unfamiliar with Wolf brand primers I can tell you that my experience with them has been very positive. I use the small magnum rifle type which they recommend for .223 / 5.56 NATO self loading weapons. They work great, very good accuracy with Varget and ball powders suitable for this round. A buddy of mine that coaches a Jr. Rifle team told me about them. He said they were very accurate and about half the price of comperable US brand primers.

Thanks for the heads up.

I 2nd what Schuetzenman says about the Wolf primers. I use to be strictly Winchesters, but with the shortage and prices, the Wolf are comparable in my opinion to the Winchester primers, but without the sticker shock.

Hmmm, well the first AR-15's were produced around 1958 making them over 50 years old & eligible to be C&R. I wonder if any of them were semi-auto only & if so are they still around?

Humm ... you know that's kind of scary in a way! Our military is going to field with a 52 year old rifle design, (if we don't count the 300 or so design refinements done to acutally make the things come close to work'n). :D

But aren't the also going up against an older AK47?

Yeah but those actually worked without 300 refinements blended in over 50 years. ;)
