I can picture you now, sitting on the front porch, cold drink next to you on a side table, a worn out dog at your feet, screaming half incoherent obscenities at children walking too close to your yard..

I could see myself doing just that.

Considering my yard is 200 yards into my property...

I can get if they are being a real pain, or leaving a mess, but otherwise trespassing really doesn't bother me that much.

When I lived on the farm we'd have the occasional hiker or hunter cross the land or ask if they could hunt. They were always polite, we let a few hunt so long as they agreed to keep aware of where the house was. Never had trouble with it.

Whatever happened to offering a stranger a glass of ice tea?

Anyone who ignores that sign does so at their own risk

It kind of went by the wayside when they started cooking meth out in the country... We are still friendly, just a lot more cautious these days.

That was a great movie! I've seen it about 10 times and it's still funny. They left the best porch scene out, though.

reads "If you can read this, you are in range". I would have one on the UP camp but I forgot to take it with me when I went there a few weeks ago.

My BIL told me that my neighbor is a died in the wool liberal union activist that loves obummer. We should really hit it off.............chris3

I guess we stopped when the strangers started shooting too many of us. Same thing regrading picking up hitch hikers.

Country courtesy.....what a thing to lose.

There's only one thing missing on that sign, perhaps in the friend statement.... "Please announce your arrival in English, all other languages will be shot".
