Surely I can't be the only one on here with a camera set up in the woods. If anyone has been sucessful in obtaining photos of wild game, then feel free to post on here. I checked mine out today, and I was able to obtain a few good photos. I plan on setting my camera back up again today, and hopefully obtain better pictures next time. Anyway, here are a few of my pictures.

I have the camera and I have places to put it but I won't be able to put it up until around Thanksgiving - and then we'll be moving around so I probably won't put up until we leave...

Actually, I bought it to put up near the entrance to my property - to see if I'm getting any two-legged visitors... and if so, who.

There was a local story 2 years ago about a man whose house was robbed. It turned out that the owner had a wild game camera set up on a tree near his house, and it snapped a couple of shots of the robbers. The idiots weren't wearing any masks, and it helped with the apprehension of them.

I have three cameras set up, one on the access road to the land for surveillance to see who is ignoring the No Trespassing signs. I have another set up looking at an apple tree and another near the tree stand looking over a trail.

I've got a couple pictures of a nice 4 pointer this year, a couple spike horns and a shit load of doe. Unfortunately I get more pics of Coyotes than deer. The only interesting thing I've got pictures of are a Fisher under the apple tree.

Go ahead and post them if you've got the time. I think it would be nice to have a wildlife picture thread, instead of the normal gun picture threads.

I'm in the office at the moment, most of the better pics are on my laptop at home. I'll post them up in the next day or so when I have some time.

My camera was a Christmas gift from my parents last year. Mine is 8.0 megapixels, and as you can see has infrared capabilities, along with temperature, time, and date. They have purchased it at Dick's for around $180, and it came with a security bar to prevent theft.

BOOOOM Fing bastards took one of my favorite ducks. Then a week later a friggin red tailed hawk which I can't shoot due to Kadmos and his ILK took my favorite chicken.

Caught this poor guy roaming our neighborhood a few summers ago...infested with black tumors all over it..Tumors all over it's face almost closing off his vision, had tumor "balls" hanging under it's belly like stalagtites.Would crab walk all messed up.The game commish. said nothing we could do about him.....I think one of the neighbors took "care" of him shortly after this photo was taken.:coffee:

I was talking to the guys harvesting last week. He has a guy trapping near him SE of here.
He took 40 in eight days so now I know why they were showing up here.
Hope that settles the score for you a little

Not exactly free range Bison but I did take the picture about fifty miles south of me

Man that sucks. Poor guy. I didn't know some poor animals suffered LIKE THAT. Have any of you guys seen that before? I suppose taking him down was a humane thing to do. Ugh.

Have any of you deer hunters tried one of the Hunter Safety system safety vests. I purchased the ultra light version but don't really like it. The shoulder strap feels like a brick under the butt of your gun. I've been wondering if the mesh vest version is any better ? At least the strap looks thinner. :thanx:
