A while back I made the comment that a crash is less likely then most think solely based on the thought that if it's true a couple large bank control the world's economy then those banks have no interest in a total collapse. They simply make more keeping the system going then wrecking it over what is basically paper with no real value anyway.
The same for the top 1% who pay most of the taxes in the nation. In the end the 1% group knows they can pony up a slight bit more in taxes and keep the system that's allowed them to amass their riches remain in place or they can take their chances and let it fall maybe to suffer the fate the rich normally do in such times (think French, Russian or Chinese revolutions).
In the end when push comes to shove these groups will try hard to keep the system going and considering the amount of leverage they have over the world's economies there's probably much less of a chance of collapse then we might otherwise give credit for. That is of course if they actually control what they supposedly do...
