As long as it is completely compatible with standard AR15 parts and accessories, $900 isn't a bad price for an M4 type rifle (already assembled).

I'd go along with this statement. But seriously aside from the Sig name it's just another gas impingement AR rifle M4orgery. Plenty to chose from in the market place.

Seeing as Sig's 556 got off to a rocky start (not too bad, but just enough), I'd be a bit hesitant to purchase this one until a few months after release, given good reviews pop up.

I have heard a lot of good things on them but if I had the cash I would go for the 516 gas piston set up.
Here is a good review on the M400

I couldn't decide between the M400 and a Colt M4, I bought the Colt.

You paid more for a name then. There is no magic ju-ju from a Colt made M4 type or any other AR15 rifle. Going head to head every stock Colt rifle I've ever put on paper with a Bushmaster or even DPMS, the Colts were the least accurate AR rifles every time. Why you might ask, simple, loose upper to lower fit and how they throat their barrels.

Really? I've owned Bushmasters, and Rock Rivers, the Colt is the best I ever owned! The new Colt's are much better than the old ones!

This is a real M4 Carbine built by Colt Defense, not a poser civilian model.
