As soon as I get back from the sand box. I have the base and the 22mm muzzle brake from CNC Warrior.
I also have the donkey donk front handguard, and side folding stock, or I might put the fixed laminated buttstock on it.
Here's how it looks with some different wood-

I tried the donkey dong and hated it. Wasn't worth the major addition of weight towards the front end.

A buddy recently had it done. Paid a gunsmith $40 for the work. I'm impressed with the CNC warrior 22mm brake.

All the ones I've seen the Romanians carry had the Donkey Dong, 22mm brake, and side folding stock. I swear they were chambered in 5.56!

Yeah, I remember that being the "original" configuration. I've got total respect for keeping it all original, so don't think I'm slamming the idea. I just determined that for my mileage it wasn't worth the weight over a palm swell handguard.

Those would be called SAR-3s.

Romanians don't carry SAR-3's. They carry full auto AK-74's.
