What a load of apologist crap. Most rich people pay hardly any taxes at all with all the loopholes in the tax code.

Warren Buffet's secretary paid more in taxes than he did. That should tell you all you need to know about the "terrible burden" the top 1% are under.

Um, Buffet owes about a billion in back taxes. Uh, but this is the guy you've been nut hugging. You suck man! ;)

Carolla always seemed like a decent guy. In his whole career, I don’t think he tried pissing in my Cheerio once.

He kinda annoys me, maybe it's his voice, or that he reminds me of those guys from "Jackass" but slightly older. He does say some funny stuff though sometimes.

As to this one, well maybe some was true and some wasn't, the idea of envy being "new" is pretty laughable.

I think what he was getting at was that envy is sadly now more socially acceptable.

He's right. This generation is fucking sad. Throughout my life, I've heard the phrase "this is the worst class I've ever seen" more times than I care to recall, even through college. You can thank the hyper PC generation that started raising kids in the mid to late 80's. Only got worse through the 90's. I actually remember being told in about 91 or 92 that I just needed to kindly ask bullies not to injure me because I don't appreciate being harmed. This is at a 60/40 white/black ratio in an area where the white kids get trained to accept a lifetime of demasculation while the black kids learn they can do whatever they want without consequences.

I don't know what the name of the generation that created the current young adult population is called, but you guys fucked up. You raised a generation of Obama voters.

Hippies and hippie-retreads?

No, there were plenty of non-hippie PC types. Still are.

LOL, finally clicked on this thread and then the video by Carolla. He nails pretty good. He didn't say where this stupid envy thing comes from but it's pretty obvious the current Occupy White House squater is steeped in the Envy and Shame thing.

O.S.O.K.

Well. This is completely correct. That is exactly what we have right now.

And frankly, I am happy about it due to one aspect: My wife and I didn't raise our kids that way and they don't think like that and this gives them a real advantage over the "ass douches" :lool:

But for society as a whole, its a crappy thing.

LAGC doesn't like this because it describes him to a "T". And so, he throws bricks at it. :coffee:

LAGC even you can't be that stupid.
Warren Buffet pays the 10% capital gains taxes because he lives off of interest from his investments. His secretary pays income taxes.
Two completely different tax codes, and ALL of those idiots that spewed that same comment, knowing all the time they were wrong are lieing to the rest of the democrat folowers that also don't pay taxes because they are no-income losers.

What is "funny" about all of you liberal pieces of crap is that nobody EVER said that mabey they should LOWER the taxes for the secretary.

We've tried that before (lowering taxes) and what has it gotten us? Trillions of dollars in added debt. We were running budget surpluses until Dubya cut taxes and waged two unfunded wars.

Why not just treat investment income the same as regular income? Problem solved, and we could have the debt paid down in no time.

love it. truer words have never been spoken.

this is exactly what ive been saying for years. when all of a sudden school shootings started to be the rage, this is exactly what i was saying. its the participation trophy generation learning that they are not fucking special, and they cant take it.

then, a few yrs later, the new rage was college shootings, same thing, only a few yrs older.

now, they are out in the workforce, and the exact same thing ive been saying for years is not rearing its head as this shit.

Lowering taxes didn't create the debt, out of control SPENDING did.

Because people who invest money have already paid regular income taxes on that money. You want to tax them at the same rate twice because they decide to be smart (and somewhat risky) and invest some of their earnings to make more money?

The debt will NEVER be paid down. Your Loving Dem/Lib/Socialist politicians will keep spending until they run this country into the ground farther than it already is

Gee, I get it now. It's not that I overspend; it's that I'm underpaid.
