Picked up the new Bretta. Nice pistol. It is the M9A1 rather than the 92A1.
The M9A1 comes with two 15 round Sand Resistant PVD coated mags.
The 17 rounders are included with 92A1 (round trigger guard) - they are not sand resistant - but are interchangeable with other 92 series guns.

Here it is with the G26 that was purchased in October. The G26 is surprisingly controllable even with the short mag and two finger hold. I got a couple +2 extensions just for grins, they make it feel like a full size grip.

Well, if you like it congrats. Seeing as how you're a Glock 26 owner I would of expected you to go for the 17 or a 34.

I'll do one better, but it's my only other Glock:

The Beretta was a good deal I couldn't pass up... the guy bought it and the next day got a bug up his ass for a FN Five Seven. What do you do... ;)

Congrats on a great pistol!!!

Be careful. Beretta Series 92 Pistols are like AKs. They can become highly addictive!!!

A little taste of what could happen if you are not careful!

I had a 92FS that I loved. It was stolen from my house, and recovered from a gangbanger. Natch, he threw it across the parking lot and scratched it up. My insurance company had already paid off, and wanted full value to give the gun back to me. I said no thanks.

I went with Glock the next time I bought a 9mm. My second choice probably would've been Ruger after having a KP95 in my possession for a long time. Frankly, I think there are so many high quality 9mms out there that a guy could have a lot of fun collecting them.

I almost forgot, I really like your collection, especially the stainless models. I would love to have one someday.

I too, have a Beretta M9. Great gun, accurate and very reliable.

Interesting M9 with an Italian frame! Note the "Z" at the end of the serial number, which indicates the frame was shipped to the US facility from Italy for assembly here. There should also be a military assembly number on the right side of the dust cover.

(Serial number indicates a 1989 build date, most likely a 92F. It appears to have the small hammer pin head that would verify this. )

Just digging for info, Beretta 92s have become a worse disease than AKs!!!!!

Sweet brace of Italian Steel you have there! I always kinda wanted to add a 92fs to the stable...

The one on the lower left is an Elite but the photo is probably one of the worst I have taken. Believe it or not it actually is in near perfect condition. Funny lighting makes the slide look worn.

Yes I also have the Vertec in Bruniton and am looking for one in Inox (stainless). I also have the original 92 "stepside" as well as an Italian demo 92 used by Beretta when they were trying to start up in Brazil.

In documenting the 92 Series, I have listed over 90 versions and editions, and that does not break them down further into the straight versus slanted dust covers, and Italian versus USA made.

The Beretta 92 series is much like the Chinese AK variants in that anything went. Beretta even made a couple of "special editions" based on parts left over on the assembly line!

IMO no they aren't. Ask Baretta how many rounds they warranty the weapon for and you'll have your answer.

I don't know how many rounds they are guaranteed for, But I doubt if the average person would ever wear one out.

I know I have been trying to wear out mine for almost 20 years.

Whats the difference between the m9 and the 92f?

imanaknut

The basic difference between the M9 and the 92F is mainly the markings. The M9 frame is the old style with straighter back strap and straight dust cover.

The difference between the 92FS and the 92F is the size of the head of the hammer pin, which is larger in the FS and fits in a slot in the slide. It is there because of the slide issues that the military first had when they ran very hot ammo through the M9 causing the slide to fracture. The ammo was much hotter than recommended by Beretta. The enlarged hammer pin prevents the slide from leaving the weapon in the event of failure.

Good looking gun.

Picked up a police trade in 92FS back in October from gunbroker. Got it for $331 + shipping + transfer = $371

My 1st 92. Actually shoot pretty well with it.

Welcome to the group, drobs !!! :welcome:

That is one great deal you got on that 92FS. Most police pistols are used to practice draw from the holster, and don't get shot much. Holster wear just gives the pistol that nicely aged look but doesn't hurt the function.
