Vortex Optics

I'm considering buying a scope (1-4X24 Viper). Anybody own any Vortex optics? What are your opinions?

Well the people that I know that bought a Vortex Diamondback rifle scope have not been sorry they bought it. I have a Vortex Skyline spotting scope that I am tickled with, sure it's not a Kowa but it's clear and bright and only $400. I would bet the Viper being one of their upper echelon scope lines would work well.

I've read good reviews from folks who own the viper series of scopes. They say the lenses compare well with Leopold optics at half the price. The scope I want to buy has been backordered for a couple of months. Somebody must be buying them.
