Hollow Point Cast Bullets for Sale

I've been casting for about a year now and have put some bullets on the table at gun shows with decent results. After a few inquiries on gun forums for bullets, I decided to go ahead and put up an ad, of sorts. I know I won't be making a business out of this but maybe it can help defray the cost of my shooting habit.

The alloy I use is a 50/50 mix of wheel weights and pure lead with 2% tin added.

Here is an overview of what I have, with detail pictures that follow and then prices. Thank you for looking.

1) 300gr. 44 cal. hollow point, 2) 148gr. 38 cal. hollow base wad cutter, 3) 158gr. 38/357 cal. custom design hollow point, 4) 200gr. 45 cal. custom design hollow point, 5) and of course the 247 grain 30 cal. "bison" bullet with and with out gas check.

The 300gr. 44 bullet is available in plain base only at this time. It has three crimp grooves and when loaded to the deepest groove will allow function in the Ruger 96/44 rotary magazine.

My best seller. The 148gr. 38 cal. hollow base wad cutter is an old staple from the bulls eye days. Hard to find now, but I was able to procure a reproduction mold for it. For those that don't know, you load this into the case hollow base first. You load the bullet down until it is just flush with the case and crimp. Loaded to around 700 fps (no faster) it is exceptionally accurate.

This bullet is available sized to either .357 or .358 and obviously no gas check.

The 158gr. 38/357 cal. custom design hollow point is fast becoming my favorite. This is a custom design that you will not find commercially available. It is available with a traditional round hollow point or a rather unique "penta" hollow point. It can be sized .357 or .358 and had with or without gas checks. Please note that it has two crimp grooves that allow it to be used with the short cylinder N frame Smith and Wesson .357 revolver.

The 200gr. 45 cal. custom design hollow point is also an excellent bullet. It feeds well in most all semi-auto .45s, even the Sig. The shape is a slightly elongated round nose with a hollow point. It can be had with either the traditional round, or the unique "penta" hollow point. Currently no gas check option is available. The .45 is sized to .452.

And lastly the 247gr "bison" bullet. While not a hollow point I include it do to demand. I've sold these to people that want a heavy bullet for their .308 bolt gun as well as AR-15 based 300BLK users. Sized to .309 it is available with or without gas checks.

A short word about my gas checks. I make my own from .004 thick aluminum, usually soda or bear cans. You'll notice these have a "bottle cap" appearance.

This "bottle cap" appearance does not have a deleterious affect on performance or accuracy. Shooting tests have shown that .004 is the optimal thickness for plain base gas checks and the "bottle cap" appearance, is merely a visual issue. Old trick with that hollow base .38 wad cutter. Load it hollow base out to make a super HP round out of it. Can be shot a lot faster that way.
