Hey everyone,
Any way to mount an AR-style buffer tube to my SAM7 fixed stock rifle without removing lower tang? I see some for stamped receivers, what would it take to make them fit my milled receiver? Options?
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the group !!! :welcome:

I have only seen the AR style stock adapter for the stamped receiver AKMs.

As for the SA M-7, even if you removed the lower tang, the hole in the rear of the receiver is different for a milled versus stamped, so ruining you rifle by removing the lower tang will still not allow the AR adapter to work.

As rare and expensive as the SA M-7 is, my 2 cent advice is to not mess with it and if you must have an AK variant with an AR look, start with something like a WASR-10. :D

Thanks for the reply! So no way to dremmel the stamped adapter to fit my milled receiver? Don't just want the AR look, want the AR modularity to have an adjustable LOP and comb height to run different optics. Any ideas?

I have had a SS-M7 A1 R for about 10 years... It is my favorite AK.

+1 txgunnut. I love my SAM7 A1 R and my SAM7 SF. They are solid performers. Anyone know a good aftermarket cheek riser for the fixed milled AK? Want to run Eotech.
