I just missed out on one in similar condition for $199 (probably could have gotten it for $150) but I didn't want to buy anything else until I pay off the daewoo.

Nice I need to pick up a nice SMLE some day. I would like a Canadian or Australian one, or better yet one of each. So where was yours made?

First off :welcome: to the board!
And that is an excellent example of the breed.
I have one very similar to that - mine's a Fazakerly - and I think that one is too.
Mine was actually assembled in the 50's.
Looking forward to seeing some more pics and a range report! If you are buying comercial ammo, Remington makes a decent load that is usually accurate in these.
I like to shoot cast boolits in mine - heavies - 200 grain Lyman's with gas check and sized to .314" - a little oversized and loaded to 1900-2000 fps - very very accurate and will do quite nicely on deer and such too if yuo have a mind to use it for hunting.
