Unknown?
The sheath comes in (2) different lengths.
I just measured it, and it has a hard plastic interior sheath insert of about 1 3/4" wide.
The curve on your blade may or may not cause problems.
Not sure?

My favorite thus far. Though I think if I got a Benchmade Marc Lee Glory, I'd have to change my opinion.

Nice!

The handle on those 184's are hollow right?
So with the blade not being full tang, how does it connect to the handle?
I've never handled one of those, but the blade sure looks cool!

Here is the patent. Good drawing of the internals
http://www.buck-184.com/library/us04622707.pdf

It's really a bit too big to be practicle. It's more of a "cool" factor knife. The one I picked up is missing the pouches, fishing kit, and compas but otherwise in good shape.

That's why I went with the SP-15.
It's big enough to be useful, and small enough not to be unwieldy.

EDIT: I just checked out the schematic you posted. No offense, but I don't feel comfortable with a knife that just has a lil nut holding the handle on. It looks weak.

I like that Ontario Sawmpy! They make an excellent piece of steel. (I have one of their 8" tantos in my car as "road rage repellant")

While my current piece of choice is the good ole Kabar, I'm thinking of investing in one of these excellent utility tools:

Yeah, mine too! That's why I still bring my Kabar when I'm out in the sticks.

I kind of see it as a lifetime investment though. The things are made out of crome moly 1960's era tank steel.

I got a couple of them:

http://www.gunsnet.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=140&d=1280753292

One on the right is a gift from a good friend of mine and is one of the two KABARs brought back from the Pacific theater of WW2 by his grandfather.
One on the left is my camping companion. Given to me as a gift...hand made in Russian prison right outside of Moscow. Holds an edge very well, light and has a good story with it:)

I made this one a while back....it fits my hand good and is well balanced...I like it a lot. :)

Oh btw it has curly maple scales...I bought a bunch of handle material off a fellow knife maker on another knife forum and the curly maple scale blocks were in there...the wood was dirty from sitting in a workshop getting dusty....when I washed it off I knew I got a helluva deal....it was all hi quality stuff....and a lot of exotic wood....like bocate etc.

iv always said i think the cold steel fixed blades are the best blade pound for pound .er $ foir $,,,the uwk and peacekeeper's are $50ish and offer 6+ inces of razor sharp goodness, handles have great gripping area and they are downright sexy

BigDumbGerman

Cold Steel SRK -- love it. Perfect size, shape and balance for me.
Gerber LMF II -- butt-ugly, heavy and the sheath is over-complicated, but I like it.
Glock Field Knife (no serrations) -- carried one overseas for a while.

I had a Buckmaster for a while. It was heavy has hell. Spikes or no spikes, you could kill someone five times over without ever using the blade. The lanyard loop ring by the handle cap, the handle cap and the the hilt, along with the weight, would really do a number on a fool. I sold it.

Great looking knives and wish I could afford a few of them. I like the K-Bar style knifes. I a Cold Steal fan and I just bought a Kurkri (I think I spelled it right) and its sharp as heck right out of the box.

I like those sheaths as well where do you find them?

I have a K-bar copy made by FURY and so far its a good knife and holds an edge. I have not field tested it yet but it looks just like the KA-Bar knife just under a different name and price.

I had a United Cutlery made knife it was called a Combat Commander and it was a really really nice knife. I wish I had kept it not traded or sold it. I think I sold it to get some gun money.

I say "was" because after picking up this Bark River Bravo1 with gold elder burl scales at the knife show on Saturday I'm thinking I might now have TWO favorite fixed blades.

They arent, I cut through a steel drum/car/deer/tires/etc... with mine. One of the toughest knives around BAR-None. I Bought mine for $50.00 about 15 years ago. It's seen A LOT of use and still looks pretty decent.

HOWEVER.

At this time, my favorite fixed blade... THAT I OWN... and one of my favs period... The knife I would take to outer space (if I may be so bold)...

The only fixed blade Emersons I can recall are the Skull Dagger and the USN Dagger. Neither of which are currently available.

He has done a few "prototype" fixed blades but finding one of those would be like finding a needle in a haystack and likely very expensive.
