got this for $125 locally

H&R 939 .22
not marked "Sidekick" either.
has lock in butt.

only wear is a little paint off the sight and rib.

older .22's and shotguns are the only things I really have interest in anymore besides French stuff.

Helen Keller does your 939 have key a key lock safety or a transfer bar ignition?

Looks like a great score. I just picked up an older HiStandard Sentinel R101, not as nice shape, but appears to be a solid gun.

Key lock. AKA a screw that uses a KEY for the bit.

With the key lock you have a Model 939 Ultra Sidekick First Model made sometime between 1962-1972. And you stole it at $125. Enjoy!
