"I wouldn't have done it, but it was my son," McKinley told ABC News Oklahoma City affiliate KOCO. "It's not an easy decision to make, but it was either going to be him or my son. And it wasn't going to be my son. There's nothing more dangerous than a woman with a child."

Amen.

This happened in my neck of the woods. No LEO will question the shoot.

When I first heard of this I remember thinking 21 minutes and no LEO shows up, good thing she had that shotgun...

Does not seem to say if she shot him with the 12 gauge or the pistol.

The article is good to cover her exact location but I'm pretty sure she was in a rural area of Oklahoma County. Had the LEO's been on time, there would be one more dcirt bag out on probation.

Blanchard is not in Ok county, it's in McClain county which is due west of Cleveland county (home of the universtiy of Oklahoma). I strongly suspect that she was some distance from the town of Blanchard, otherwise the cops would have been there sooner. But you're right, ain't nobody going to question it, nor should they.

Righteous shooting!
DA ought to think how much money she just saved the state - only one perp going inside instead of two.
