A friend of mine who runs a firearms training business posted this video on Facebook today.

I'm not with the gentleman who introduces the clip with hype about revolution, but about half way through is a video statement from the Sheriff that I found refreshing.

What are your thoughts.

Standing up to the Fed starts local.

Until he actually does something it's all talk.

Bet his lifespan is gonna be short. You cannot buck the federal mafia. I'm still waiting for Sheriff in another state to arrest and prosecute Lon Horiuchi.

Didn't he already? He stood up to unconstitutional jackboots. I'd say that's a damn good start and thank you Sheriff.

I would think that Sheriff's everywhere would be aware of the recent supreme court ruling that upheld the Sheriff's jurisdiction - being the supreme law enforcement agency in their county. The only entity that can arrest a Sheriff is the poh poh :) That's "Justice of the Peace" in moste counties/perishes.

This is actually based on English common law IIRC.

And this is a great post! Kudos to Sheriff DeMeo! He is a true patriot!

I thought the opposite (going by memory) didn't the feds still ended up doing what they wanted?

If you're talking about Sheriff DeMeo, then no, the feds backed down after he told them that he'd be ready for them with his swat team.

In this case, the citizens of that county need to make a complaint to the Justice of the Peace. Again, from what I understand, its part of the JOP's job to monitor the Sheriff.

ETA - looked into it and in most cases it's actually the County Coroner that has the authority to arrest the Sheriff. Weird.
