well, i had to pick 9mm because it's the one i load the most. most of my shootin irons use it so i pick up more brass for that round. if it weren't for the Berdan thing i'd load 9mm Mak a lot too.

No "none of the above" option?

I don't reload handgun caliber ammo any longer.

I used to reload 7.62x25 with a 55 gr. FMJ w/sabot.

I load for 9 different handgun calibers and although I enjoy loading and shooting them all, .45 ACP is always the one I love for both. Maybe it's just the bulk, weight and power of the components, the loaded round itself and the 1911 platform that appeal so much.

I even like to sift the loaded rounds through my fingers..........or just look at the finished product. For example, I just received 1K of Yugo 7.62 X 39 and had to open a couple of boxes to enjoy them. There's just something sensual about ammo..........and guns............and magazines............and accessories..........and.............

Yes, sensual..... :jerkoff: :run-and-hide:

I like the 44 Special/44 Mag combo - they're much like the 45 ACP and 45 Colt. The size, the revolvers, the ease of loading and versitility. And the fact that they are good duel-firearm cartridges - revolvers and leverguns.

And sure, you can count .223 and 45-70 as handgun calibers if that's your favorite. :)

It's a toss up between .357 and .44

Both are so versatile and can be loaded to two extremes, and everything in between.

.357. Its costs marginally more to load this instead of .38 spcl. I used to think revolvers were stupid dinosaurs, but I started most of my handgun shooting with my grand dad's old .38 mod 10 (you use what you have), and now I love them. Something about the .357 just feels right. One of the best parts about a revolver is no brass chasing.

44 MAG it goes a long way and goes through most things. Shooting bowling balls is fun.

45 ACP.

2 reasons....AA#5 meters like a dream, and I love emptying the brass.

Really I have no 1 favorite, rather I favor a caliber based on my interest in a particulary handgun. My first centerfire handgun round I learned to reload was .45 ACP, my next was .357 magnum. I like my Glock 19 so 9 mm gets loaded most in the last few years. So I picked 9 mm but like I said, it really isn't the round, it's the gun that makes the pick.

Here's some brass - it's not the cheapest but it is in stock: http://www.midwayusa.com/browse/BrowseProducts.aspx?pageNum=1&tabId=1&categoryId=7459&categoryString=9315***652***670***9014***

I'd just get 100 rounds for now and then wait for starline to make some more - they indicated October - they list for $74/500 or $14.80/100 vs midway's $17... but its out of stock at starline and grafs - maybe widners or midsouth might have some cheaper.

I'll have to get a set of 9x18 dies, but no powder or bullets as of now.
I do have small pistol primers

I really like the .38 Special as I currently own three including my Daily Carry.
I use Bullseye and Missouri Bullets in a Dillon press.
Also with a revolver it's just a tad easier to pick up your empties.

I prefer to shoot revolvers now more than the autos just based on the simple fact of brass recovery. Now I'm working on DA only style shooting to improve my accuracy.
