Specifically, I'm talking about the AR .22LR mags.

Anybody seen one?

Not exactly accurate. :D http://blackdogmachinellc.net/loader-ar-15-m16--22lr-thumb-loader-by-christie-s-products.aspx http://blackdogmachinellc.net/images/products/display/cceml03.jpg $10 bucks at Black Dog Machine's web site. It's not a Lula type but more of a big push down mag loader like comes with Glock handguns.

There were some being made using Ramline loaders with some mods. But they were high dollat and when the Ramline units dried up, no more were made.

I know a couple companies are working on simplified loaders.
I use the 25 round BDM's.
I use a plastic rod(mini blind rod) to push the follower to the bottom.
I drilled a small hole through the mag body, through the bottom flat of the follower, and out the other side of the mag.
So to load, I push the follower down with the rod, use a pin(piece of caot hanger wire, punch or what ever fits) to hold the follower down.
Remove the rod.
Lean the mag back and drop in one round at a time.
Drop a round, lean mag forward causing the round to fall flat and forward.
Lean mag back, drop another round, lean mag forward.
Lots less stress on my old thumbs and takes me about 30-40 seconds to load.

I've got a nice loader tool for my 10-22 mags - you just pour the rounds into the holding chamber and they fall down into a slot to align for loading - then you just turn a knob while shaking a little - works great.

Don't really want to drill holes in the mags....

I don't think the push-down thingy will help speed things up much... I really do want a LULA type loader - hope they come out with one.

Thanks for the replies!

WHy not make a "Ring on a string" mod to all your mags.

I've seen the vid on youtube.

WOuld make loading these alot faster than half your range time reloadin them.

Thanks - didn't see that on youtube but I assume that this is a hole in the floorplate with a string attached to the bottom of the follower with a ring on the end outside the mag to pull down?

Aka: mag on the rag.
