Just resigned up here. Has been several years since I was on here. Just saying hello and that I also own a Norinco MAK-90. In the near future I'm going to replace the awful thumb hole stock for a Ironwood set. Also want to get the muzzle threaded and install a Chinese style muzzle brake. Other than that my Norinco has worked flawless for many years.

Cheers!!

Welcome. Nice to have you onboard. Used to have a MAK90 myself. Kinda wish I still did. Great AK even with the thumbhole stock.

I think I remember you, someone used to have "olds" in the user name. I just came back after a long absence too, seems like mostly the same place.

Welcome back !!!! :welcome:

I have installed Ironwood sets on a number of MAK-90s and all came out looking greats. Even better now that Ironwood is making sets that more closely resemble the true Chinese!!!

That would be me. I'm back again to help where I can.

Hey Guys,

I'm trying to decide on a muzzle brake. I'm wanting to keep the Chinese look to my rifle and was considering the slant style brake. Are these the correct style to have installed to keep it looking correct. I've seen the Russian style and they are nice, but sorta don't fit the look.

Many of the Chinese AKMs did not have threaded muzzles but the most correct, if you can even say that, would be a muzzle nut. If you want a brake for a 7.62x39 Norinco that would be the slant brake.
