maybe not the proper place to ask this but how would i go about posting a picture in a thread so that it appears without the viewer having to click a link?

Read this thread to start:

And what you need to do is have the picture posted on-line - either a web site that allows you to copy the URL of the picture (right click, properties, copy the address) or have your pics posted in flickr or photbucket, etc. - these are free up to a point. We have a free gallery on this board too.

You first need to resize your pictures on your computer to 800 pixels outside dimension or smaller, then download the pics from your computer to the host site - like flickr, and then use their menu to "share" - copy the URL of the picture. In flickr, this has a lot of extraneous address and you need to trim off everything before "http" and everything after ".jpg".

Sorry - its hard to explain to somebody that's not versed with all of the steps... best thing is to get somebody that knows how to do this to show you on your own computer and then write-down the steps....

Hope this helps some - we all like seeing pics!!!!
